EDA's new Community Trade Adjustment Assistance (Community TAA) Program is aimed at helping to create and retain jobs by providing project grants to communities that have experienced, or are threatened by, job loss resulting from international trade impacts.

Grants under the program can be used to support a wide range of technical, planning, and infrastructure projects to help communities adapt to pressing trade impact issues and diversify their economies, Learn More.

The “TAA for Workers Significantly Impacted County List” represents EDA’s best effort to assist communities in assessing whether they are likely to be eligible to apply under the CTAA Program by reviewing Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance for Workers program data. However, EDA has learned that initial interpretation of the underlying data included some counties on the list that may not have had as significant a trade impact due to the certification as originally thought. Other counties not on the list may have had significant impacts and may be eligible.

Therefore, aside from counties on the current list, EDA will not be providing any additional Affirmative Determinations by way of this list. You should contact the appropriate EDA Regional Office for assistance in determining eligibility for an Affirmative Determination.
