StitchCrew

This EDA investment will support StitchCrew and VEST in to raising and deploying equity capital in startups founded by underrepresented entrepreneurs through VEST Her Ventures, a $25 million venture capital fund. Even though there is a lot of wealth and a few investment groups in Oklahoma ranging from family offices, venture and private equity firms, as well as endowments, less than a handful focus on early-stage investments. The project also aims to address the lack of diversity in the venture capital space through a partnership with the University of Tulsa to recruit and educate aspiring investors from underrepresented communities. Up to 40 companies will be funded through the VEST Her Ventures fund, which also offers executive coaching and access to a network of esteemed professionals. Ultimately, this project seeks to build a strong coalition of stakeholders committed to leveling the playing field for entrepreneurs across Oklahoma and neighboring states.
