Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Resources

Through the Research and National Technical Assistance Program, the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) has funded various resources to assist economic developers in their planning processes.  

• CEDS Central - NADO Research Foundation
  This website assists Economic Development Districts and other regional entities as they undertake regionally owned planning processes to craft impactful, technically sound strategies guiding economic development through trainings, technical assistance, webinars, publications, and more.
• CEDS Library - StatsAmerica
  Searchable access to Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS) by Economic Development Districts nationwide.
• Economic Development District (EDD) Interactive Map - NADO Research Foundation
  The NADO Research Foundation has created this interactive Economic Development District (EDD) map that provides information about each EDD’s service area, website, contact information, and EDA regional office.  It also includes two search functions:  one that allows the user to quickly identify which EDD serves any address or location and one to search the map by the name of the EDD.
• Nuclear Power Plants and the CEDS - NADO Research Foundation
  Despite the value in highlighting nuclear plant closure impacts in the CEDS, a national review of these documents reveals that these issues are often not thoroughly addressed. This document compiles examples for how Nuclear Communities can best integrate the existence of their powerplants into their CEDS.
