Justin Tooley is the Acting Director of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship for EDA, where he manages national programs that aim to advance domestic production of critical technologies important to national and economic security and supporting the American workforce.

Prior to this role, his professional career included time as a high school economics teacher. Additionally, Justin worked in the Tennessee Department of Education and in the Office of the State Superintendent of Education of the District of Columbia as the Chief of Staff. He also worked in the U.S. Congress as a legislative assistant covering a wide range of issues including education, labor, small business, and housing issues.

Justin received a Bachelor of Arts in political science and economics from the University of Louisville and a master’s in public policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
