This project will create a place-based entrepreneurial network to propel life science innovation in North Texas that will attract and retain local and external talent. Ultimately, this project will invigorate our region’s economy with the development of scalable startups through strategic combinations of capital, entrepreneurial and scientific talent, focused marketing, and local and national collaborations.

As the backbone organization with experience in building cohesive entrepreneurial ecosystems, LaunchBio will lead established local and national partners in transforming North Texas’ newly developed Biotech+ Hub at Pegasus Park into a “one-stop-shop” for enabling early-stage biotech companies to develop and advance into high-growth ventures. With joint efforts from well-rounded partnerships including Lyda Hill Philanthropies affiliates, University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, J. Small Investments (developer of Pegasus Park), MassChallenge, bioNTX, Capital Factory, Tech Fort Worth (TechFW), Health Wildcatters, and BioLabs, LaunchBio will leverage assets for training and education, expand the network to include internships and apprenticeships for North Texas’ community college and HBCU students and graduates, and attract capital and corporate partnerships to benefit entrepreneurs starting and scaling their companies at the Biotech+ Hub at Pegasus Park.
