Fraud Alert

EDA has become aware of a telephone/email scam in which the perpetrator claims that the victim has won an EDA award and needs to provide personal information and a processing fee to claim it. Please note that EDA does not provide grants or other forms of financial assistance or benefits (including unemployment benefits) to individuals and does not ask individuals to disclose personal information. In addition, EDA does not require applicants to submit a processing or other fee. EDA grants can only be obtained by following the procedures described in the Notices of Funding Opportunities provided for the programs below.

Fiscal Year 2021-2023 EDA Planning and Local Technical Assistance Program

Application Deadline: Applications are accepted on a continuing basis and processed as received. This Planning and Local Technical Assistance opportunity will remain in effect until superseded by a future announcement.
Through its Planning and Local Technical Assistance programs, EDA assists eligible recipients in developing economic development plans and studies designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of an area or region.

Fiscal Year 2021-2023 Research and National Technical Assistance (RNTA) Notice of Funding Opportunity

Application Deadline: There are no submission deadlines under this NOFO. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the termination of this NOFO or publication of a superseding RNTA NOFO.
The Economic Development Administration (EDA) has published the Fiscal Year 2021-2023 Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for Research and National Technical Assistance projects. This NOFO makes $1.5 million available for Research and Evaluation (R&E) projects and $1.0 million available for National Technical Assistance (NTA) projects.

Fiscal Year 2023 Disaster Supplemental

Application Deadline: There are no application deadlines and the agency will accept proposals on a rolling basis until the publication of a new PWEAA NOFO, cancellation of this NOFO, or all funds are obligated.
The U.S Economic Development Administration is now accepting applications through the Fiscal Year 2023 Disaster Supplemental Funding Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). The awards are designed to support those regions impacted by Hurricanes Ian and Fiona, wildfires, flooding and other natural disasters (2021-2022). 

Fiscal Year 2023 Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance (PWEAA) Application Submission and Program Requirements

Application Deadline: There are no application submission deadlines. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the publication of a new PWEAA Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), cancellation of this PWEAA NOFO, or all available funds have been expended. EDA intends to review applications expeditiously upon receipt of the complete application.
Under this NOFO EDA outlines application submission requirements and review procedures for applications received under EDA’s Public Works and Economic Adjustment Assistance (EAA) programs, as authorized under the Public Works and Economic Development Act of 1965, as amended (42 U.S.C. § 3121 et seq.).

Recompete Pilot Program Phase 1

Application Deadline:
The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) has published Recompete Pilot Program Phase 1 Notice of Funding Opportunity making $200 million available to persistently distressed communities to create and connect people to good jobs. This program will create renewed economic opportunity in communities that have for too long been forgotten. To do so, the program targets areas where prime-age (25-54 years) employment significantly trails the national average, with the goal to close this gap through large, flexible investments. As part of EDA’s place-based economic development approach, the Recompete Pilot Program aims to meet communities where they are by offering grant opportunities that ensure sustainable and equitable economic growth across the United States.
