EDA announced 12 grants in the month of February, totaling $6,336,200 which is matched by $76,650,000 private investment. These investments include the following:
$3,000,000 for the Routt County - Yampa Valley Regional Airport. This EDA investment supports the expansion of a private sector industrial development in rural northwest Colorado by 1) extending taxiways to connect the Yampa Valley Regional Airport (YVRA) Aviation Business Park to the main runway, and 2) installing utilities to create a shovel-ready Aviation Business Park.
- $400,000 for the East County Economic Development Council Foundation. This EDA investment supports establishing a Revolving Loan Fund to help businesses in eastern portions of San Diego County, CA.
- $500,000 for the Rural Nevada Development Corporation. This EDA investment supports the re-capitalization of a Revolving Loan Fund to assist existing small business through Rural Nevada Development Corporation.
- $265,200 for the White Mountain Economic Development. This EDA investment supports enhancing energy resiliency and economic development in Northeastern Arizona's rural communities. The project will assess the current state of electrical supply reliability, examine innovative energy sources, and address regional economic challenges caused by the closure of the Navajo Generation Station and potential future closures of other coal-fired plants.
- $186,000 for the City of Crescent City. This EDA investment supports developing a plan to revitalize the downtown area of the city to promote workforce development and prioritize critical infrastructure in the region.
- $185,000 for the Town of Eagar. This EDA investment supports the pre-development planning of a light industrial park in Eagar, Arizona.
- $750,000 for the City of Long Beach. This EDA investment supports establishing a Revolving Loan Fund to help businesses in the city of Long Beach, CA.
- $210,000 for the Southern Alleghenies Planning & Development Commission. This EDA planning investment supports the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
- $210,000 for the SEDA Council of Governments. This EDA planning investment supports the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
- $210,000 for the Economic Development Council of Northeastern Pennsylvania. This EDA planning investment supports the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
- $210,000 for the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC). This EDA planning investment supports the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
- $210,000 for the Kerr-Tar Regional Council of Governments. This EDA planning investment supports the development and implementation of a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).
