WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $613,750 CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the Missouri Association of Councils of Government (MACOG), Jefferson City, Missouri, to develop broadband feasibility plans and provide technical assistance across the state. This EDA grant will be matched with $613,750 in state investment.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $3.5 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the city of Bloomington, Indiana, to construct the Trades District Technology Center to support the growth of tech-based businesses. The project, to be matched with $294,190 in local funds, is expected to create 345 jobs and retain 770 jobs.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.1 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rochester, New York, to support the Industry 4.0 Transition Program in the Finger Lakes & Central New York regions at The Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies (CIMS) at the Golisano Institute for Sustainability at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). This EDA grant, to be matched with $263,212 in state and local funds, is expected to create 156 jobs and retain 264 jobs.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.3 million CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture, Millheim, Pennsylvania, to help establish a singular database and e-commerce marketplace to comprehensively connect and stabilize the regional foodshed supply chain. This EDA grant will be matched with $319,418 in state and local funds.

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $915,120 CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the Nevada System of Higher Education, Las Vegas, Nevada, to support the post-pandemic revitalization of Nevada’s travel and tourism sectors. This EDA grant, to be matched with $228,780 in local investment, is expected to create 13 jobs and retain 120 jobs.

WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $644,045 CARES Act Recovery Assistance grant to the University of South Alabama in Mobile, to renovate the Laboratory for Additive Manufacturing, creating a cyber research hub and supporting workforce development efforts. This EDA grant will be matched with $161,011 in local investment.
