Senior U.S. Department of Commerce Official Visits KC BioHub in Kansas and Missouri

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Maryam Janani-Flores, Chief of Staff at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), visited the Kansas City Inclusive Biologics and Biomanufacturing Tech Hub (KC BioHub), which serves both Missouri and Kansas. The Biden-Harris Administration, through the EDA, designated the KC BioHub, a coalition led by the BioNexus KC, as a Tech Hub in October 2023.

U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $2.9 Million to Expand Workforce Development for the Aviation and Construction Industries in Ohio

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is investing $2.9 million in the state of Ohio to support workforce development programs that will grow the aviation and construction industries throughout the region, including Appalachia.
