A new resource will help economic development and hazard mitigation planners achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy and Hazard Mitigation Plan Alignment Guide connects economic development and hazard mitigation plans so communities can be more resilient from natural hazards. The guide was a collaboration between FEMA and the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).

U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $3.6 Million in American Rescue Plan Funds to Support Business Growth in Lansing, Michigan

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $3.6 million grant to the Capital Region Airport Authority, Lansing, Michigan, for water, sewer and utility infrastructure upgrades needed to spur economic growth at the Capital Region International Airport.
