U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $1.2 Million to Establish Business Park in the Village of Questa

WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross today announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.2 million grant to the Village of Questa, New Mexico, to establish a business park that will help attract new businesses to the region. According to grantee estimates, the project is expected to spur $1.2 million in private investment.

“Reviving the American economy and creating jobs in local communities across the United States has been a key priority of the Trump Administration,” said Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross. “Due to the work of local leaders, this new business park in Questa will help attract new businesses and deliver jobs to the thousands of New Mexicans living in the region.”

Completion of the project will support current and prospective tenants in their efforts to expand operations resulting in increased private investment and job creation for the local economy. This project was made possible by the regional planning efforts led by the North Central New Mexico Economic Development District. EDA funds North Central New Mexico Economic Development District to bring together the public and private sectors to create an economic development roadmap to strengthen the regional economy, support private capital investment, and create jobs.
