The FAMU Innovation Center supports the Research, Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Hub (REACH) concept by increasing the impact of current FAMU initiatives that focus on the commercialization of research, entrepreneurial development, digital development, and makerspace labs. The two programs are closely coordinated, with the Center having the lead on developing capacity and connections within the university, and REACH working to strengthen and leverage the regional innovation ecosystem. They are part of a larger “Innovation Rising” initiative at FAMU to advance the university’s new “FAMU Rising” Strategic Plan.
