The FSU University Center focuses primarily on accelerating business expansion in regional innovation clusters; address resource gaps that may have hindered prior growth by recruiting new sources of capital and new sources of technical and business expertise to build upon. 1. The focus of the Fayetteville State University EDA University Center is to strengthen the regional entrepreneurial ecosystem by bringing new entrepreneurial funding sources and efforts to the six-counties surrounding FSU. We aim to improve access of under-served populations to funding sources by providing a rigorous, results-oriented eight-week entrepreneurial training course (provided FREE of charge to accepted participants) and ongoing mentorship. Those that successfully complete the course will be eligible to apply for funding through our partner, Carolina Small Business Development Fund, towards their start-ups. Existing small businesses seeking assistance with expansion efforts are also eligible to apply.
