U.S. Department of Commerce Announces $34.2 Million in Disaster Recovery Awards for North Carolina

ASHEVILLE, NC – Today, Paul M. Dabbar, U.S. Deputy Secretary of Commerce, announced $34.2 million in Disaster recovery awards for North Carolina, provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA). U.S. Representative Chuck Edwards (NC-11); Ben Page, EDA Deputy Assistant Secretary and Chief Operating Officer; and EDA grantees joined him at the announcement, at the site of the future home of the Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Hub.

U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $15.7 Million in Disaster Supplemental Funding to Support Economic Development Projects in South Carolina

WASHINGTON –Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced $15.7 million in Disaster Supplemental funding awards to support economic development projects in South Carolina in response to storms and natural disasters. The awards were provided through EDA’s Fiscal Year 2025 Disaster Supplemental Grant program, which supports economic recovery activities in areas that received major disaster declarations because of hurricanes, wildfires, severe storms and flooding, tornadoes, and other natural disasters occurring in calendar years 2023 and 2024.

U.S. Department of Commerce Announces $25 Million Notice of Funding Opportunity to Upskill American Workers in Using Artificial Intelligence
