Architect/Engineer Contracts
- The Architect/Engineer (A/E) must be competitively procured in order to a be an eligible expense. The firm must be selected in accordance with procurement standards set for forth in 2 CFR 200, and accordingly to EDA publication “Summary of EDA Construction Standards”.
- The executed contract between the Recipient and the A/E must be submitted and approved by the EDA Project Engineer prior to initial disbursement.
- Please consult with the EDA Project Engineer to submit a draft contract for review prior to execution.
- The fee for basic services must be either a fixed price or a cost reimbursement with an agreed maximum to be eligible for EDA participation. The use of the cost-plus-a-percentage-of-cost and percentage of construction cost forms of compensation are specifically prohibited.
- Please submit the following items to the EDA Project Engineer:
- A/E Contract
- Contract executed between the Recipient and the Architect/Engineer.
- A/E Contract Checklist (PDF)
