BioGenerator is formalizing and expanding the Food, Fiber, and Fuel Agricultural-Technology Proof of Concept Center (“Center”) to leverage the St. Louis region’s unique strengths as a global center for agricultural and bioscience research and development and its unique location as a bridge between urban innovation communities and rural farmer/grower economies. The Center will accelerate the path to market for early-stage agricultural technologies by evaluating, de-risking, and advancing their commercial viability – translating them into high-growth ventures. Project funds will support 1-on-1 commercialization support, coaching to secure non-dilutive funding, and access to no-cost agricultural technology-equipped commercialization lab facilities. Anticipated outcomes include 62 jobs created and $16 million in additional funding/revenue during the project period and 218 jobs created and $100 million in additional funding/revenue over the reporting period.
