This EDA investment will support the Innovation as a Service (IaaS) in the Wabash Heartland to help 20 manufacturers in Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Montgomery, Pulaski, Tippecanoe, Warren and White counties in northwest central Indiana utilize Internet of Things (IoT) technology to address needs such as preventative maintenance, reduced downtime, safety, reduced waste, asset tracking, and energy and other input management. IoT sends data from sensor-equipped machines and devices to the internet. Powered by data analytics, IoT applications give operators real-time, actionable information and alerts about operating status, machine utilization, safety and other critical support for plant management and production. Working side-by-side with plant personnel, WHIN’s team helps to identify pain points and implement IoT solutions from a portfolio of technologies that WHIN has vetted for quality and effectiveness. IaaS flattens the technology learning curve with real results so that manufacturers gain the vision, skill and experience to continue to the next level of digitalization.
