The New Mexico Trade Alliance will use its position as an intermediary between the city of Albuquerque and the U.S. Air Force to develop technology-based economic development programming that helps the Southwest prevent, prepare for, and respond to COVID-19.
Programming will:
- Encourage commercialization of technologies developed by the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) and aerospace companies through Q-Station, an incubator that convenes government, industry, and academia.
 - Promote regional, national, and government connectivity around economic development and aerospace-technology commercialization, addressing entrepreneurial-resource shortages that are exacerbated by COVID-19.
 - Strengthen the regional economy by promoting technology entrepreneurialism and expanding innovation, enabling business and job creation during the pandemic.
 - Strengthen security and supply chain innovations, and improving startups’ access to capital.
