U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $380,000 to Create Jobs, Strengthen Economy in Hoxie, Arkansas

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Commerce Department's Economic Development Administration (EDA) today announced a $380,000 grant to the Clover Bend Historic and Preservation Association of Hoxie, Ark., to help repair, replace, and restore the historic Clover Bend school house complex buildings damaged during the 2008 storm season.

"The Economic Development Administration is pleased to partner with the Clover Bend Historic and Preservation Association to boost business development and job growth," said Sandra R. Walters, EDA Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer. "This EDA grant will make the critical improvements needed to help the Clover Bend historic district recover from the severe storms of 2008."
